Google Maps indoor navigation vs mall wayfinding
Google Maps indoor navigation shows floor plans for some malls and airports. A mall wayfinding system gives the mall control: its own content, AR directions, a web map and kiosks.

Does Google Maps indoor navigation work in every mall?
No. Indoor maps in Google Maps and Apple Maps exist only for selected venues, and the mall does not control what is shown or when it is updated. Where they exist, they help visitors see the floor plan, but they do not give the mall its own kiosks, website map or branded routes.
What does a mall control with its own mall wayfinding and interactive mall map?
With its own system the mall decides which stores, services and promotions appear, updates them when it needs to, and shows the same map on its website, its kiosks and visitors’ phones. OVER adds AR directions from the camera, so shoppers are guided to the store front instead of reading a floor plan.
See it working in a real mall
The same technology is live in a 150,000 m² multi-floor shopping mall. Real visitors scan a QR code and follow AR directions in the browser.
